Well, I guess our problems are probably different. I think I found my problem: a short in the harness from ECU to PTU, but only when warm. I checked the harness to ground (engine block) with the harness disconnected at both ends. When cold, there is no continuity, but when the misfiring starts, the wire for #3 is grounded to the engine block. Bah. I think I must have done something bad when I struggled to replace the driver side PCV valves and hose. So, what is the best solution? Run another wire from ECU to PTU? Unravel the harness and find the problem source and fix it there? Any other option? The harness is old and yucky and all things nice about being 13 years old can be said about it. :-/ Cheers, e.
